Completion of the Doors!
Over the bank holiday weekend, all three doors were completed with all their final artistic finishing touches. We are very very happy with the results. Work has now begun on the Celtic inspired designs for the glass panels…
Knot work for the internal lattice work is almost complete, only two panels to go.
Vanishing of the slats are now also complete for the second time…..all so time consuming and we are hitting all hurdles as they come to us with a Big Smile!!!
With the sun shining over the weekend, it has brought life to Pink Apple Orchard, the wild flowers have sprung to life, the buds are showing beautifully on the Cider apple trees, the Pheasants are showing the faces in the garden, the birds are louder than ever and the butterflies have embraced us with their beauty…
Work on the designs for the glass panels will continue over next 3 – 4 weeks.
Next….we plan the final preparation for the flooring of the first Yurt…Weaving Willow…..
Come on Sun shine…..We need lots of you!

Family of Nature ~ Teaghlaigh de chineál
We are a family that likes to embrace the outdoors. From walking, jogging, fishing, kayaking & sailing. There are lots of activities to offer on our doorstep, which can provide both relaxation or exhilaration!
Within the garden surroundings, you can relax at your leisure either within or outside your chosen accommodation, or mingle within the willow fenced communal area where you can cook in doors in the fully equipped kitchen - The Cider House (where the production of apple juice and cider takes place in September once the crop is yielded from Pink Apple Orchard) overlooking Lough Allen and The Iron Mountains through more willow fencing windows.
Seasons bring many different attributes. In summer, you can absorb the beauty of Pink Apple Orchard as the willow fedges grow, the orchard is at its greenest and the apples are beginning to grow. In Spring, enjoy the crisp morning and the freshness of new green shoots, the delicacy of the Spring flowers and the array of birds singing at their loudest. The apple blossom peaks to its best throughout May where the fullness of floral pinks, magenta's and whites explode with beauty and the scent of blossom tickles those nose buds, all creating an insect haven.
For the children...
...Venture into the children's tree house lair, up to the watch tower or onto the shipwrecked boat! Sit within the hideout where you can play or build sandcastles within the tyre sand pit. Creativity and adventure invented at the blink of an eye! Laughter and hours of fun to be had by all ages.
