Homely and Comfortable Facilities Provided for Our Luxury Eco Self catering Camping Experience to Create a Memorable, Relaxed Experience.
We are very proud that we live in and are providing an eco friendly environment. On site, all our water supply comes from a natural spring. Dry composting toilets are used. We organically grow as many vegetables & fruit as we can. Every year is different.
The Cider House Kitchen ~ An Chistin Teach Leann Úll
Every September, production begins with the process of picking, chipping, pressing and bottling all the apple juice and cider from Pink Apple Orchard. There are pots & pans, cutlery & all crockery needed, a microwave, a kettle & toaster, gas cooker with four hobs, 2 full size fridges & a large sink. There are 2 separate bins: 1 for recycling and 1 for all compost waste.
There are books for all ages on Ireland, nature, fishing etc. and also many children’s games & books. (Please ask for games as they are now kept indoors for safety.) There is Scrabble, Cluedo and cards.
There is a large covered outdoor/indoor area next to the kitchen; nestled into the corner of the orchard so you are able to take a seat & enjoy the view of Lough Allen & the ‘Iron mountains’ or of course the nature within Elsie’s Pink Apple Orchard. This is a large outdoor seating area with wooden tables situated within beautifully hand crafted willow partitions that are also made on site.
There is a small area for a safe/contained campfire for those yummy, moorish marshmallows!!! Perhaps some music…bring along a guitar, fiddle or flute for a session on those cosy nights around the fire. This is open air, so weather dependent.
A traditionally made outdoor Pizza oven is on sight in the communal area. Perfect for big family gatherings (must be pre booked days in advance and be booked for a minimum of 12 pizzas) and adult group bookings – ONLY. This is not for customer use for individual family bookings. Many apologies.
Wood is available for the camp fire/fire pit (at extra cost). It can be bought on sight from the Gypsy Wagon Honesty Shop.
Facilities for the Outdoor Shower Room and Dry Composting Toilets
Showers, sinks and dry composting toilets
There are two dry composting toilets, two spacious gas showers and central to these are two sinks. Toilet roll and cleaning products are provided. They are checked and cleaned daily – morning and night.
ADDITIONALLY, there is a private toilet and shower for The Hobbit House.
Facilities for the Celtic Yurts
The Celtic Yurts are beautifully furnished with a fusion of hand crafted wooden recycled furniture that is made here at Pink Apple Orchard. Two have a small electric stove, One has a small wood burning stove to create a cosy luxurious feeling once encompassed inside your Celtic cocoon. One box of wood is provided for each stove. (more can bought at €6.00 per bag.)

Internally, all will have beds to sleep up to five adults, or families up to five (six if there is an infant sleeping in a cot). These contain one super deluxe hand built super king size bed (luxury for a couple, but can double up as two singles) and two – three singles depending on the individuals request. Also available on request is 1 travel cot and/or large playpen/travel cot.
Outside, within your Celtic Crannog! ~ Laistigh d’Celtic Crannóg!
The individual Yurt’s have their own outdoor hand built quirky seating area, so perfect for privacy within your own space to read, chat, play your guitar or just to sit with your friends and/or family.
